Vedanta
Vedanta is a philosophical system rooted in Hinduism, derived from the Upanishads, which are ancient Indian texts exploring spiritual knowledge. It emphasizes the nature of reality, the self (Atman), and the ultimate reality (Brahman). Vedanta teaches that understanding the unity of Atman and Brahman can lead to liberation (Moksha) from the cycle of birth and rebirth (Samsara). The philosophy includes various interpretations, such as Advaita (non-dualism), which posits that Atman and Brahman are one, and Dvaita (dualism), which maintains their distinction. Vedanta has influenced spirituality, ethics, and metaphysics both in India and beyond.
