Atman

Atman is a fundamental concept in Hindu philosophy, often translated as the "soul" or "self." It refers to the true essence of an individual, beyond the physical body and mind. Atman is seen as eternal, unchanging, and a part of the universal spirit, or Brahman. The philosophy emphasizes that realizing one's Atman leads to spiritual enlightenment and liberation (moksha) from the cycle of birth and death (samsara). In essence, Atman represents the inner self that connects individuals to a greater cosmic reality, highlighting the profound relationship between humanity and the universe.
