Jiva (life force in Hindu philosophy)

In Hindu philosophy, Jiva refers to the individual life force or soul that embodies living beings. It is considered the essence of life, representing consciousness and identity. According to this belief, Jiva is eternal and undergoes a cycle of birth, death, and rebirth (reincarnation) based on karma, which is the moral law of cause and effect.
