Advaita Vedanta
Advaita Vedanta is a school of Indian philosophy that teaches non-dualism, the idea that there is no fundamental difference between the individual self (Atman) and the ultimate reality (Brahman). It posits that the perceived separation between individuals and the universe is an illusion (Maya) created by ignorance. By realizing the oneness of Atman and Brahman through self-inquiry and meditation, individuals can attain liberation (Moksha) from the cycle of birth and rebirth. Advaita emphasizes knowledge and understanding as the path to spiritual awakening, suggesting that the truth of our existence transcends our everyday experiences.
