Vedic Education

Vedic education refers to the ancient learning system in India, rooted in the Vedas, the oldest sacred texts of Hinduism. This system emphasized holistic development, focusing on knowledge of scriptures, philosophy, arts, sciences, and ethics. Education was typically conducted in ashrams, where students lived with their teachers, fostering close, personal relationships. The curriculum included lessons on Sanskrit, mathematics, astronomy, and rituals, alongside moral and spiritual teachings. Vedic education aimed not only to impart knowledge but also to cultivate wisdom, character, and a sense of duty towards society and the universe.
