Platonism

Platonism is a philosophical view that suggests the existence of abstract entities, called universals, which are timeless, unchanging forms or ideas that represent concepts like beauty, justice, or numbers. These universals exist independently of the physical world and particular instances we encounter. For example, when we see a specific tree, it participates in the universal idea of "tree-ness." In terms of the afterlife, Platonism often posits that the soul may ascend to a realm of these perfect forms after death, leading to knowledge and understanding beyond our material existence.
