Orpheus

Orpheus is a figure from Greek mythology, known as a legendary musician and poet. He is famous for his ability to charm all living things and even inanimate objects with his music. The most well-known story involving Orpheus is his journey to the Underworld to rescue his beloved wife, Eurydice, who had died. He plays enchanting music to persuade Hades, the god of the Underworld, to release her. However, he is ultimately unsuccessful because he looks back at her before they reach the surface, losing her forever. Orpheus symbolizes the power of love and art, as well as the fragility of life.
