Khalsa
Khalsa is a term in Sikhism that refers to a community of initiated Sikhs who uphold a strict code of conduct and embody the values of Sikh teachings. Established by Guru Gobind Singh in 1699, the Khalsa represents spiritual purity and commitment to justice, equality, and service. Members of the Khalsa are recognized for wearing the Five K's: Kes (uncut hair), Kara (steel bracelet), Kanga (wooden comb), Kachera (cotton undershorts), and Kirpan (ceremonial sword). These symbols reflect their dedication to their faith and duties. The Khalsa plays a vital role in preserving Sikh identity and promoting community welfare.
