Guru Gobind Singh

Guru Gobind Singh (1666–1708) was the tenth Sikh Guru, revered for shaping Sikh identity and spirituality. He established the Khalsa in 1699, a collective of initiated Sikhs committed to upholding justice and equality. His teachings emphasized the importance of selflessness, bravery, and adherence to righteousness. Guru Gobind Singh championed the empowerment of individuals, encouraging them to fight against oppression. He composed numerous hymns and the final version of the Guru Granth Sahib, the holy scripture of Sikhism.
