
Banda Singh Bahadur
Banda Singh Bahadur was an Indian warrior and leader of the Sikh community in the early 18th century. Born in 1670, he became a prominent figure after Guru Gobind Singh, the last of the Sikh Gurus, appointed him as a general. Banda Singh Bahadur is known for his role in fighting against the Mughal Empire and establishing one of the first Sikh states in Punjab. He advocated for social justice, land reforms, and the rights of the oppressed. His legacy is celebrated in Sikh history for his courage and commitment to freedom and equality. He was executed in 1716.
