Sake

Sake is a traditional Japanese alcoholic beverage made from fermented rice. It involves a brewing process similar to beer, where rice is polished to remove its outer layers, then steamed and combined with water, yeast, and koji mold to convert starches into sugars. The mixture ferments, producing alcohol. Sake can vary in flavor and aroma, ranging from sweet to dry, and is often enjoyed warm or chilled, depending on the type. Unlike wine, which is made from grapes, sake is unique in its production and is sometimes referred to as "rice wine."
