Nahuatl
Nahuatl is a group of closely related languages spoken by the Nahua people in Mexico and parts of Central America. It was the language of the Aztec Empire and has rich literary traditions, including poetry and historical records. Today, Nahuatl is still spoken by approximately 1.5 million people. The language has contributed many words to English, such as "avocado," "chocolate," and "tomato." Nahuatl has a complex grammar and an extensive vocabulary, reflecting the cultural history and worldview of its speakers. Efforts are ongoing to preserve and revitalize the language among younger generations.
