Mars

Mars is the fourth planet from the Sun in our solar system and is often called the "Red Planet" due to its reddish appearance, which comes from iron oxide on its surface. It is about half the size of Earth and features the largest volcano and canyon in the solar system. Mars has a thin atmosphere mostly composed of carbon dioxide, with surface temperatures that vary widely. Scientists are particularly interested in Mars because of its potential to have supported life in the past, and various missions have explored its surface to search for signs of water and past habitability.
