Roman Religion
Roman religion was a polytheistic belief system centered around the worship of multiple gods and goddesses, such as Jupiter, Juno, and Mars. It emphasized rituals, ceremonies, and offerings to gain the favor of these deities for personal and state welfare. Religion was intertwined with politics and daily life, including festivals and public rites. The Romans also adopted and adapted gods from conquered cultures, reflecting their expansive empire. Ancestor worship and household gods, known as "Lares" and "Penates," were significant, highlighting the importance of family and home in their spiritual practices.
