InSight

InSight, or the Interior Exploration using Seismic Investigations, Geodesy and Heat Transport, is a NASA space mission designed to study the interior of Mars. Launched in 2018, its primary goal is to gather data about the planet's geology, seismic activity, and heat flow. This information helps scientists understand Mars' formation and evolution, providing insights into not just Mars but also terrestrial planets, including Earth. InSight features a seismometer to detect Marsquakes and a heat probe to measure temperature beneath the surface, allowing researchers to gain a deeper understanding of the Martian environment.
