Leukemia
Leukemia is a type of cancer that affects the blood and bone marrow. It occurs when the body produces an excessive number of abnormal white blood cells, which can interfere with normal blood function. These rogue cells can crowd out healthy blood cells, leading to symptoms like fatigue, infection, and bleeding. There are several types of leukemia, categorized mainly as either acute (rapidly progressing) or chronic (slower-growing). Treatment options vary and may include chemotherapy, radiation, or stem cell therapy, aimed at restoring normal blood cell production and function.
