T cell therapy
T-cell therapy is a treatment that harnesses the body's immune system, specifically T-cells, to fight diseases like cancer. T-cells are a type of white blood cell that can recognize and destroy harmful cells. In T-cell therapy, these cells are either taken from the patient's blood and enhanced in a lab to better attack cancer, or they can be genetically modified to recognize cancer cells more effectively. Once prepared, the T-cells are infused back into the patient, where they seek out and eliminate cancer cells, boosting the immune response against the disease.
