Granulocytes

Granulocytes are a type of white blood cell crucial to our immune system. They are part of our body's defense against infections and diseases. Granulocytes contain small particles or granules filled with substances that help fight off bacteria, fungi, and parasites. There are three main types: neutrophils, which target bacteria; eosinophils, which combat parasites and allergies; and basophils, which are involved in inflammatory responses. By quickly responding to infections, granulocytes play a vital role in keeping us healthy and protecting us from illness.
