International Space Station

The International Space Station (ISS) is a large space station orbiting Earth, where astronauts from various countries live and conduct scientific research. Launched in 1998, it serves as a unique laboratory for experiments in microgravity, which allows scientists to study phenomena not possible on Earth. The ISS is a collaboration involving space agencies like NASA, Roscosmos, ESA, JAXA, and CSA. It travels at about 17,500 miles per hour and orbits the planet approximately every 90 minutes, providing a platform for international cooperation and advancements in science, technology, and understanding of space.
