AMS

AMS-02, or the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer-02, is a particle physics experiment mounted on the International Space Station. Its main goal is to study cosmic rays, which are high-energy particles from outer space. By analyzing these particles, AMS-02 helps scientists understand the origins of dark matter and antimatter, and the fundamental structure of the universe. Equipped with advanced sensors and magnets, it captures and identifies various particles, contributing to our knowledge of cosmic phenomena and enhancing our understanding of the universe's composition and the forces at play within it.
