FATA (Federally Administered Tribal Areas)
The Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) was a region in Pakistan that operated under special administrative rules, distinct from other provinces. It comprised seven tribal agencies and was governed directly by the federal government rather than a provincial government. FATA was known for its unique cultural heritage, traditional tribal governance, and historical challenges, including conflict and security issues. In 2018, FATA was merged with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, aiming to integrate the area into the national framework, enhance development, and improve governance for its residents.
