FATA Secretariat

The FATA Secretariat was an administrative body established in Pakistan to govern the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA), which were regions near the Afghan border, historically lacking direct government control. It played a key role in managing local governance, development, and law enforcement in these areas. In 2018, FATA was merged into Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, leading to the disbandment of the FATA Secretariat. This change aimed to integrate the region more fully into Pakistan's political framework and improve governance and development for its residents.
