Orakzai Agency

Orakzai Agency is a former administrative region in Pakistan, located in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. It was part of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) and had a predominantly Pashtun population. This mountainous area was known for its tribal customs and limited government presence. In 2018, FATA was merged with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, integrating Orakzai into the province's governance structure. The region has faced challenges, including militancy and economic underdevelopment, making it a focus for security and development efforts by the Pakistani government.
