Al-Quds (Jerusalem)
Al-Quds, known as Jerusalem in English, is a city of great historical and religious significance. It is considered sacred by Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. For Jews, it is the site of the ancient Temple and the Western Wall; for Christians, it is where Jesus was crucified and resurrected; and for Muslims, it houses the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock, from where Muslims believe the Prophet Muhammad ascended to heaven. The city has a complex history and is often at the heart of political and religious tensions in the region.
