Skinner Box

The Skinner Box is a controlled experimental setting developed by psychologist B.F. Skinner to study behavior and learning in animals, typically rodents or pigeons. Inside the box, a lever or button dispenses a reward, like food, when pressed. By observing how often and under what conditions the animal presses the lever, researchers can analyze behavior reinforcement. This concept illustrates operant conditioning, where behaviors are shaped by rewards or punishments, helping us understand the principles of learning and behavior both in animals and humans.
