Pythagoras

Pythagoras was an ancient Greek mathematician best known for his theorem relating to right triangles. The Pythagorean theorem states that in a right triangle, the square of the length of the hypotenuse (the side opposite the right angle) is equal to the sum of the squares of the lengths of the other two sides. This can be expressed mathematically as \( a^2 + b^2 = c^2 \). This principle is foundational in geometry and is used in various applications, from construction to navigation, helping to determine distances and relationships between different geometric shapes.
