Kennedy Space Center

Kennedy Space Center (KSC) is NASA’s primary launch center for human spaceflight, located on Merritt Island, Florida. Established in the 1960s, it played a crucial role in the Apollo missions, which sent astronauts to the Moon. KSC features launch pads, vehicle assembly buildings, and mission control facilities. It is also the site for the Space Shuttle program and currently supports new missions, including those to the International Space Station and planned Mars missions.
