Falsifiability

Falsifiability is the principle that a statement or theory must be testable and able to be proven wrong. In foundationalism and scientific methodology, a claim should allow for predictions and experimentation; if those predictions fail, the claim can be rejected. This is crucial for objectivity, as it helps to minimize bias by relying on evidence rather than belief. In social epistemology, it emphasizes the collective agreement on what constitutes knowledge, as scientific theories evolve through rigorous testing and scrutiny, ultimately enhancing our understanding of the world.
