Battle of Las Navas de Tolosa

The Battle of Las Navas de Tolosa, fought in July 1212, was a pivotal conflict during the Reconquista, the Christian effort to reclaim the Iberian Peninsula from Muslim rule. A coalition of Christian forces from Castile, Aragon, and Navarre faced the Almohad Muslim army. The Christians achieved a decisive victory, which significantly weakened Muslim power in Spain and marked a turning point in the Reconquista.
