Algebra

Algebra is a branch of mathematics that uses symbols, usually letters, to represent numbers in formulas and equations. It allows us to carry out calculations involving unknown quantities. Algebra has concepts like operations, relations, and constructions, aiming to solve equations. Basic operations include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Often, the goal is to ‘solve the equation’ by finding the unknown variable. It serves as the basis for most other parts of mathematics like geometry and analysis.
