Al-Khwarizmi (Mathematician)

Al-Khwarizmi was a 9th-century Persian mathematician and scholar often referred to as the "father of algebra." His most significant work, "Al-Kitab al-Mukhtasar fi Hisab al-Jabr wal-Muqabala," introduced systematic methods for solving linear and quadratic equations. The term "algebra" itself is derived from "al-jabr," one of the operations he described. Beyond algebra, he made important contributions to mathematics and astronomy, influencing later European science. His work laid foundational concepts that have shaped mathematics as we know it today, making complex calculations more systematic and accessible.
