Shah Jahan

Shah Jahan was the fifth Mughal emperor of India, ruling from 1628 to 1658. He is best known for commissioning the Taj Mahal, a stunning white marble mausoleum built in memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Under his reign, the Mughal Empire reached its cultural and architectural peak, with significant achievements in art and architecture. His rule is often associated with prosperity and grand projects, although he faced challenges, including internal dissent and conflicts. Shah Jahan’s legacy is largely defined by the Taj Mahal, which remains a symbol of love and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
