Ribosomes

Ribosomes are tiny, complex structures found in all living cells, essential for protein synthesis. They read the genetic information carried by messenger RNA (mRNA) and assemble amino acids in the correct order to form proteins, which are crucial for various cellular functions. Ribosomes can be found floating freely in the cytoplasm or attached to the endoplasmic reticulum, contributing to the production of proteins that are used inside the cell or exported outside. Essentially, ribosomes act as the "factories" that translate genetic instructions into the proteins necessary for life.
