Movement Theory

Movement Theory examines how and why people, ideas, or things move from one place to another. In social sciences, it explores how social movements form, change, and impact society—looking at factors like motivation, organization, and communication. In physical sciences, it analyzes the principles of motion in objects, including forces and energy. Essentially, Movement Theory helps us understand dynamics in various contexts, whether that’s the movement of people in a city, the spread of ideas, or the behavior of physical objects in space.
