Idealism

Idealism is a philosophical perspective that asserts that reality is fundamentally shaped by the mind and consciousness. It suggests that knowledge primarily comes from mental experiences, rather than the physical world. In this view, the mind and body interact within a framework of dualism, but the mental realm takes precedence. Consciousness is seen as central to understanding existence, and mental causation means thoughts and perceptions can influence actions. Qualia, the subjective experiences of sensations, highlight the importance of individual perception, emphasizing that our understanding of reality is ultimately rooted in our mental experiences rather than in a purely material world.
