Panpsychism

Panpsychism is a philosophical viewpoint suggesting that all things -- even objects traditionally thought of as inanimate, like rocks or particles -- possess consciousness, or mind. This doesn't mean your chair thinks or has feelings, but rather, everything has some level of subjective experience. It's a unique perspective for understanding innate qualities of the universe and consciousness in a broader scope.
