Homer
Homer was an ancient Greek poet traditionally believed to be the author of two of the greatest epic poems of antiquity: the *Iliad* and the *Odyssey*. These works, composed around the 8th century BCE, explore themes of heroism, fate, and the human experience through the tales of the Trojan War and the adventures of Odysseus. His storytelling art and exploration of complex characters have had a profound influence on Western literature and culture. While some scholars debate his existence as a single individual, his contributions remain foundational to the study of literature and the understanding of ancient Greek civilization.
