Bar Kochba
Bar Kochba refers to Simon Bar Kochba, a leader of the Jewish revolt against Roman rule in Judea from 132 to 135 CE. This uprising, known as the Bar Kochba Revolt, was spurred by oppressive Roman policies and the desire for Jewish autonomy. Although initially successful, the revolt ultimately failed, resulting in widespread destruction and loss of life for the Jewish population.
