Yitzhak Rabin
Yitzhak Rabin was an Israeli statesman and military leader, serving as Prime Minister twice, first from 1974 to 1977 and then from 1992 until his assassination in 1995. A former chief of staff of the Israeli army, he played a pivotal role in major military conflicts, including the Six-Day War. Rabin is most known for his efforts to achieve peace with the Palestinians, notably signing the Oslo Accords, which aimed at establishing a roadmap for peace. His assassination by a right-wing extremist opposed to the peace process highlighted the deep divisions in Israeli society regarding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
