Oslo Accords
The Oslo Accords are a series of agreements made in the 1990s between Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO). They aimed to establish a framework for resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict by creating a process for Palestinian self-governance in parts of the West Bank and Gaza Strip. The accords included mutual recognition between the two parties and outlined steps towards eventual peace, though many key issues remained unresolved. While they marked a significant diplomatic effort, ongoing disputes and violence have hindered their implementation and the broader peace process since then.
