Norway’s Oslo Accords
The Oslo Accords are a series of agreements made in the 1990s between Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) aimed at resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Brokered in Norway's capital, Oslo, these accords established mutual recognition and laid the groundwork for Palestinian self-governance in parts of the West Bank and Gaza Strip. They aimed to create peace through negotiations, addressing key issues like borders, security, and the status of Jerusalem. Although the accords marked a hopeful step towards peace, many challenges and conflicts have arisen since, hindering the long-term resolution of the conflict.
