Arab Peace Initiative
The Arab Peace Initiative, proposed in 2002 by the Arab League, offers a framework for resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and promoting peace in the Middle East. It calls for Israel to withdraw from territories occupied since 1967, including the West Bank and Gaza Strip, and for the establishment of a Palestinian state. In return, Arab nations would recognize Israel and normalize relations. The initiative aims for a comprehensive peace agreement and is seen as a significant diplomatic effort to address long-standing tensions in the region. Although it has not been fully accepted, it remains a cornerstone in discussions about peace.
