Fatah

Fatah is a major Palestinian political party and a key faction within the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO). Founded in the late 1950s by Yasser Arafat and others, Fatah advocates for Palestinian self-determination and statehood, focusing mostly on political and diplomatic efforts rather than armed struggle. It has traditionally represented more moderate views compared to other groups, such as Hamas. Fatah's influence is especially strong in the West Bank, where it has led the Palestinian Authority since its establishment in the 1990s. The party has faced challenges, including internal divisions and external pressures, affecting its leadership and effectiveness.
