Quartet on the Middle East

The Quartet on the Middle East is an international group consisting of the United States, the European Union, Russia, and the United Nations. It was established in 2002 to promote peace and stability between Israel and the Palestinians. The Quartet works to facilitate negotiations, support Palestinian governance, and encourage economic development and security. Its goal is to lay the groundwork for a two-state solution—an independent Palestine alongside Israel—by fostering dialogue, addressing core issues, and coordinating international efforts for a peaceful resolution to the conflict.
