International Mediation

International mediation is a process where a neutral third party helps countries in conflict to resolve their disputes peacefully. This mediator facilitates communication, encourages dialogue, and assists in finding common ground, guiding the involved parties towards a mutually acceptable agreement. Unlike arbitration, where a decision is imposed, mediation relies on cooperation and voluntary commitment. It aims to prevent escalation of conflicts and foster lasting peace, often addressing issues like trade, territorial disputes, or human rights concerns. Various organizations, such as the United Nations, may facilitate international mediation efforts.
