vestibular neuritis

Vestibular neuritis is an inner ear condition that affects balance. It occurs when the vestibular nerve, which sends signals about balance and spatial orientation from the inner ear to the brain, becomes inflamed, usually due to a viral infection. People with vestibular neuritis often experience sudden dizziness, vertigo, and difficulty with balance, but usually do not have hearing loss. Symptoms can last for days to weeks and may improve over time as the brain adapts. Treatment often focuses on relieving symptoms and may include medication and physical therapy to help with balance training.
