Labyrinthitis

Labyrinthitis is an inner ear condition involving inflammation of the labyrinth, a critical part of your inner ear that helps control balance and spatial orientation. This inflammation can disrupt signals between the ear and brain, leading to symptoms like dizziness, vertigo (a spinning sensation), hearing loss, and sometimes nausea or ringing in the ears. Often caused by viral infections, labyrinthitis usually develops suddenly and can last days or weeks. Most cases improve with rest, medications, and time, but severe or prolonged symptoms should be evaluated by a healthcare professional to rule out other conditions.
