Secession

Secession, in the context of Libertarianism, refers to the idea that individuals or regions have the right to separate from a larger governing body, such as a state or country. Libertarians advocate for minimal government intervention and believe that people should have the freedom to choose their own political associations. Secession is seen as a way for groups to establish their own governance based on voluntary consent, promoting individual liberty and self-determination. Essentially, it’s about respecting people's choices in how they wish to be governed, especially when they disagree with existing authorities.
