Plan of Guadalupe
The Plan of Guadalupe, issued in March 1913, was a political manifesto created by Venustiano Carranza during the Mexican Revolution. It aimed to oust the then-dictator Victoriano Huerta and restore constitutional government in Mexico. The plan emphasized principles such as democracy, civil rights, and the rule of law. It called for a legitimate government formed by the people, ultimately leading to the establishment of the Constitution of 1917. Carranza’s leadership, supported by various revolutionary factions, was significant in transitioning Mexico toward a more democratic and reform-oriented nation.
