Revolutionary Army of the North
The Revolutionary Army of the North was a military force active in northern Mexico during the early 19th century, particularly around 1810–1821. It was composed of local insurgents and soldiers fighting against Spanish colonial rule as part of Mexico's broader independence movement. Led by figures like Miguel Hidalgo and later others, the army aimed to overthrow Spanish authorities, promote social reforms, and establish Mexico as an independent nation. Though initially fragmented, it played a crucial role in mobilizing widespread support and ultimately contributed to Mexico’s independence.
